August 2023: What an amazing auction house!! Martin, Ben and the team are always welcoming and provide a brilliant service to both sellers and buyers. We've dealt with this auction room for many years and always had fantastic service. The atmosphere in the room on auction days is well worth experiencing and you can even get your breakfast/lunch there from their cafe! Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area. J Morgan

Rare fine quality dapple grey rocking horse by SJ Lippett of Bretforton with leather saddle and real horse hair in excellent condition - S.J. Lippett of Bretforton is a notable maker of high-quality rocking horses. His creations are highly regarded for their craftsmanship and attention to detail. Lippett's rocking horses are often sought after by collectors and enthusiasts for their durability and classic design. Mr Lippett came to visit us today and told us some interesting facts about his horses. He is now retired from making the horses and made his last 1 about 10 years ago. Over his career he produced only 30 pieces ranging in size and colour and no 2 horses are the same. His work can be identified by the 2 towers on the main upright struts and these towers represent Broadway Tower. This particular horse was hand painted by Mr Lippetts cousin who was a Royal Worcester artist. Mr Lippett was kind enough to have his photo taken with the horse.
