About Us
Fortnightly sales throughout the year - offering you a local service with a Global reach!
In the early 1980's antique dealer and auctioneer Barry Homer opened Bell Court Auctions in Bidford on Avon and the lively local business continued with bi-weekly auctions for nearly twenty years. After Barry's death his son, auctioneer Martin Homer ran the business for over eight years. In 2011 Martin returned to the auction world and launched Littleton Auctions located in the Worcestershire village of Middle Littleton. His mission, along with his son Ben & daughter Emma's help - to run fortnightly auctions accepting a combination of antique furniture, quality interiors, jewellery, art & collectables and to provide a local and accessible service to vendors with a Global reach for buyers thanks to live online bidding
Vendors are invited to bring in lots during the Tuesday & Wednesday after the fortnightly auction for acceptance for the following sale, please ring the auction room prior to bringing in so we can advise as to what does and doesn't warrant entry and to confirm we have room, as a guide we are looking for a minimum value of £30 per catalogued lot, we will then book an appointment and allocate you with a time slot (please be prompt). We are always happy to offer free estimates on items and can fix a reserve price on items over the value of £30 if both parties are happy. If you require larger goods to be collected (or delivered) we outsource our transport requirements to 2 local companies who are both very reasonable on price and offer a first rate service, call either Ben on 07796 048 878 or Phil on 07766 293 885 for a free quote. Our commission rate is a very competitive 15% + V.A.T. (minimum of £2.50 + V.A.T.) plus 1% guarantee and a £3 + V.A.T. lotting fee per catalogued item. Vendor's payments become due after just 7 working days (Wednesday week after the sale) by BACS transfer directly into the client's account (or, if available, collection of cash from the saleroom - please phone first).
Buying at one of our auctions is simple. On your first visit we will issue you with a unique bidder's number which is free and can be used for future auctions (I.D. required), you can then attend the sale in person, leave a commission bid, or, in special circumstances you may bid by telephone at the time of the sale (conditions apply), you may also bid online via easyliveauction.com or the-saleroom.com. Our buyer's premium is just 19% + V.A.T. on the hammer price (extra fees apply if using one of our two online bidding platforms). Payment for goods can be made by Bank transfer, by bidding platform link, Debit Card, or Cash.
Our auctions take place every other Saturday morning at 10am.
